Presenter Barbara Shukin

Barbara Shukin is the mother of five children from ages 21 down to 5, and has homeschooled since the beginning using the Charlotte Mason and Classical approaches. After receiving her MFA in sculpture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she taught for several years at the college level and was concurrently the director of a college art gallery.  She continues to teach through local co-ops, and by offering art classes for homeschoolers. Barbara is the author and publisher of the History Portfolio Series and the Nature Portfolio, offering a notebooking approach to the study of history and science.
